2020 Best Tasting Water Contest

Kentucky Rural Water Association is looking for the best tasting water in the state! Are you up for the challenge? This year will offer even more challenges as we navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic. Although we will not hold our normal in-person Annual Conference, we plan to utilize the Zoom platform for virtual meetings such as our Annual Business Meeting on August 25, 2020. Please contact the KRWA office if you have any questions regarding our Business Meeting or the Best Tasting Water Contest.

With new challenges come new contest rules…

1. Water samples should be in a one-gallon glass container.
2. Entries can be hand-delivered to the KRWA office by 4:30 p.m. CDT on Monday, August 17, 2020, OR a KRWA staff person will pick up the sample at your utility and deliver it to the KRWA office. To schedule a pick-up, please contact the KRWA office no later than Monday, August 10, for pick-up later in the week. A KRWA staff member will contact you to make arrangements to pick up the sample.
3. A panel of distinguished taste testers will judge all samples. Following the KRWA Business Meeting on August 25, the contest winner will be announced.
4. The contest winner will be eligible to compete against other states at the National Rural Water Association’s Rural Water Rally in Washington, D.C. in 2021. KRWA will pay the registration fee for two (2) Rally attendees from the winning utility. KRWA is not responsible for travel, hotel, and miscellaneous expenses for these attendees.
