Week 11 of the 2026 Legislative Session

The 2026 General Assembly is currently scheduled to gavel in only seven more times before the veto recess, and more work will get accomplished over that week than the prior 50 legislative days combined. Republican Legislative Leadership will work behind closed doors this coming weekend on the budget and spending plan, and they have padded in additional working days the following weekend to hammer out any remaining work before the April 1 Veto Recess.  It’s those final two workdays – March 31 and April 1 – during which the budget and spending plan will be revealed and passed, along with scores of other priority bills and policies for the 2026 legislative session.
