Supporting Training & Mentorship at Participating Utilities

News,

Since November, KRWA staff have traveled the state to hand-deliver $167,500 in training stipends to apprentices and mentors participating in our apprenticeship program. These stipends support hands-on training, mentorship opportunities, and workforce development within the rural water industry.

This investment, made possible by an EPA Workforce Development grant administered by NRWA, reflects KRWA’s continued commitment to strengthening utilities by supporting the professionals who operate and maintain vital water and wastewater systems every day. By investing directly in apprentices and mentors, we’re helping ensure a skilled, knowledgeable workforce for years to come.
