Water Treatment Plant Operator - (City of Franklin)
The City of Franklin, Kentucky is accepting applications for a Water Treatment Plant Operator. Operator will answer directly to the Superintendent of the Water Treatment Plant. Job duties include, but not limited to, performing quality performance tests and protocol, analysis sample collection, and preventative maintenance. Qualifications: Successful completion of high school curriculum or GED equivalent. BS degree preferred but not required. Class IV Water Treatment Operator certification preferred, or must be able to acquire all four Kentucky Division of Water (DOW) Water Treatment Operator Certifications for the treatment of surface water within the State approved timeframe. Some lab experience preferred. Must possess a valid Kentucky driver’s license, and be able to successfully pass pre-employment physical and drug screening. Candidate will be asked to work holidays, weekends, and varied shifts depending on need. Must be willing to attend training, both online and out of town, and take advantage of other educational opportunities.
