General Manager (Warren County Water)
Warren County Water District (Warren Water) is the second largest utility district in Kentucky. Warren Water is unique as it has a Joint Operations Agreement with Butler County Water System, Inc, and Simpson County Water District to provide operations, engineering, and management services and an administration agreement to provide accounting and administrative services to Rochester Dam Regional Water Commission. Together, the systems serve over 40,000 water customers and 8,500 wastewater customers through over 2,200 miles of pipe across 1,200 square miles in five counties.
Headquartered in Bowling Green, Kentucky, Warren Water has a talented 68 member staff and engaged Board leadership seeking a forward-thinking, effective leader to be its next General Manager. Under minimal direction and supervision, the General Manager is responsible for the entire operations of the utilities, providing safe and dependable services, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate must have thorough knowledge of water and wastewater system operations and practices. Must be knowledgeable of current local, state, and federal public drinking water regulations. Must demonstrate ability to interact effectively with public, news media personnel, and government officials. The successful candidate for this role should possess strong engineering, communication, and leadership skills with the desire to serve in industry and community organizations at the highest level.
