FEMA Funding Opportunity for Generators and Other Hazard Mitigation Projects

The Kentucky Emergency Management Recovery Branch will conduct virtual mitigation briefings for all prospective applicants for hazard mitigation assistance related to FEMA-DR-4630-KY (Severe Storms, Straight-line Winds, Flooding, and Tornadoes, December 10 - 12, 2021), and FEMA-DR-4643-KY (Severe Storms, Straight-line Winds, Tornadoes, Flooding, Landslides, and Mudslides, December 31, 2021 to January 2, 2022). This funding is available to water and wastewater utilities statewide however projects from those utilities within the disaster declaration counties will receive priority ranking.

Mitigation is available for state agencies, local governments, and certain private non-profit organizations throughout the Commonwealth. The following are strongly urged to participate:

  • County Judge/Executives - Mayors
  • Applicant Agents - Financial Officers
  • Road Foremen - Emergency Management Directors
  • Private Non-Profits - Rural Electric Cooperatives
  • Telephone Cooperatives - Water Districts
