House Advances Water Fluoridation Bill as Session Heats Up

Week 5 of the 2026 Legislative Session
The legislature has surpassed the one-third mark of the 60-working-day budget session. So far, 753 bills have been filed by both chambers with the House accounting for 587 and the Senate 166. Debates are starting to heat up, and the legislative chambers are spending a longer time on the floor each week. After Friday’s action, the House has passed a total of 43 bills compared to the Senate’s 28. Neither chamber has passed an opposite chamber’s bill at this point in the session.
