Certified Water Treatment System Operator: Class II, III or IV
The City of Versailles is seeking applications for the following permanent full-time positions:
- Certified Water Treatment System Operator: Class II, III or IV
“Assists in the daily operation and maintenance of the water plant involving collection and treatment of water in compliance with established procedures and standards and federal and state laws and administrative regulations.”
Must be certified by the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Work shifts will be both first and second shifts, and include rotating weekends. Pay based on experience, with a minimum of $22.50/hour for Class II Operators. Licensing fees and training paid by the City.
- Equipment Operator/Water Distribution Operator
“Operates equipment (backhoe, excavator, dump truck, hand tools, etc.) and assists with the construction, installation, maintenance, repair of water lines, meters, fire hydrants, water and sewer taps, etc. Assists with investigating and repairing water line breakage and other failures.”
Plumbing experience required; equipment experience preferred. Hours are 7:30 am-4:00 pm Monday through Thursday, 7:30-3:00 Fridays; some overtime may be required. Pay based on experience, with a minimum of $19.00/hour, with increases for KY Division of Water Distribution certifications (training and fees paid by the City).
