USDA RURAL DEVELOPMENT EMPLOYEE HONORED

On Wednesday, August 30, 2017, the Kentucky Rural Water Association (KRWA) presented the “Robert W. Letton” Memorial Award to Ann Rankin, Community Programs Technician, USDA Rural Development, during KRWA’s 38th Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition.

This award was created in May of 1994 in honor of a long-time supporter of Rural Water. Robert W. Letton, Community Programs Chief with USDA Rural Development in Kentucky, demonstrated a career commitment to the promotion and development of utilities in Kentucky. To date there have only been five recipients of this prestigious award, Robert “Bob” Letton (posthumously), Jim Letcher, Vernon Brown, Ken Slone, and now Ann Rankin. Each of these individuals embodies the true spirit of the award and are recognized for their commitment to Kentucky’s water and wastewater utilities and for their positive contribution to the quality of life of all Kentuckians.
