On Tuesday, August 29, 2017, the Kentucky Rural Water Association (KRWA) presented its Leadership Award to Paul Lashbrooke during KRWA’s 38th Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition in Lexington, Kentucky at the Hyatt Regency and Lexington Convention Center.
This prestigious award is given to an individual who has been instrumental in the formation of KRWA or has been important to the growth and success of the Association. Paul Lashbrooke was elected to the Board of Directors of the Kentucky Rural Water Association in 1997 where he has served with distinction in numerous roles, most notably as President from 2000-2002 and 2008-2010. He currently serves as KRWA’s representative on the Kentucky Infrastructure Authority (KIA) Board. Paul is the third recipient of the KRWA Leadership Award.
Paul’s leadership has guided KRWA through the years of our greatest growth in membership and services: His leadership was instrumental in the formation and growth of the Kentucky Rural Water Finance Corporation, which has loaned over $1.3 billion to KRWA members. Paul continues to render invaluable service to KRWA and devotes much of his time and energy promoting the professional development of rural water utility personnel. His persistence and dedication continues to pay huge dividends to rural America. Paul currently serves as Manager of the Webster County Water District in Dixon, Kentucky.
