East Logan Water honored by Red Cross

In this season of hope – when you want your gifts to really matter – there’s one gift you can always count on to save the day, the gift to support the American Red Cross. East Logan Water District has became a HERO for the Southern Kentucky American Red Cross. A reception in honor of the surrounding the South Central Kentucky Region of the American Red Cross HERO’s was held in Bowling Green on December 15. C.K. and Jana Hanks, Management of East Logan Water District was presented a nice plaque to be displayed in the lobby of East Logan Water for their efforts of becoming a 2009 American Red Cross HERO.

HERO blocks were sold at East Logan to water customers and others helping to raise $500 in which the monies raised will support disaster relief, fire victims, emergency military communications, first aid and CPR training and disaster preparedness right here in South Central Kentucky. Money raised will also help provide food, shelter and clothing for those in need.

East Logan Water District management thanks all water customers who supported this campaign to help East Logan Water become a HERO, the gift that saves the day.
