The City of Guthrie, Kentucky is seeking experienced applicants to fill the position of Water and Wastewater Manager. The primary function of this position is the supervision and implementation of all day-to-day operation and maintenance related activities associated with the city‘s water distribution system, wastewater collection system, and wastewater treatment plant. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, water quality sampling and record-keeping, water loss control, wastewater collection system operation and maintenance, wastewater treatment plant operation and maintenance, materials inventory management, and system repair and preventative maintenance.
Requirements for this position include completion of a high school education or GED, a valid driver’s license, verbal and written communication skills, including proficient use of various computer applications, such as Microsoft Office, the internet and email. Applicants shall possess valid Kentucky Class II or higher Operators Licenses for water distribution, wastewater collection, and wastewater treatment. The position requires the potential for work on nights, weekends and holidays.
