Representatives from the private sector, related industries, and water and wastewater service providers will be on hand to offer their perspectives and initiatives promoting sustainable practices to meet utility management challenges — one challenge at a time.
Continuing Education Credit will be offered on Wednesday and Thursday pending approval from the Division of Compliance Assistance, Operator Certification section and the Public Service Commission.
Once again, our Associate Members will be on hand to share the most current industry trends and specialty products. These industry professionals will showcase the most up-to-date offerings in supplies, materials and services at the popular tabletop displays.
Utility Management Professionals (UMP) won’t want to miss the luncheon on Wednesday, February 22. All Utility Management Institute graduates are invited to join us for lunch and a special speaker presentation (see registration form for cost).
The Membership Appreciation Reception on Wednesday evening, February 22, will offer old and new friends a time to fellowship, relax and share some laughs. A tasteful array of hors d’oeuvres will be offered at this gathering to either satisfy your hunger, or whet your appetite for dinner out on the town.
For the thirteenth consecutive year, Kentucky’s Best Tasting Water contest is open to all rural water members. This event promises to bring positive media attention to our industry and all participating utilities. The 2012 winner will be eligible to participate in a national contest at the Rural Water Rally in Washington, D.C., in 2013. Last year’s champion (for the second year in a row), Hardin Co. Water District #2, will be ready for challengers who want to claim the bragging rights of “best tasting water” in Kentucky. Our luncheon speaker will feature the Kentucky Chautauqua presentation Henry Clay: Kentucky’s Great Statesman, portrayed by George McGee.
Please join us on February 22-23 as we gauge our successes and identify our expectations for the future of drinking water and wastewater services in Kentucky.
