Drinking Water

The Kentucky Rural Water Association Circuit Rider program, which began in 1980, has three Circuit Riders assisting in the field of water treatment and distribution. Circuit Riders specialize in providing on-site, hands-on assistance to rural and small municipal water systems.

The Circuit Riders provide assistance and training to the systems in all areas of management, operation, and maintenance to ensure financial and operational viability. The Circuit Rider’s assistance helps protect the government’s investment by aiding these systems to become high quality, well-managed utilities.

We believe that it is in the best interest of the utility, and its personnel, to gain in experience and expertise from the assistance that our field staff imparts on a technical assistance visit. We are fortunante to employ program staff who are technically capable and versatile enough to work with managers and operators during the day to solve operational problems and return during the evening to report on their activities to the utility’s governing board.
